The October Edit

What Made the Cut

This month, we took the new arrivals off the shelf and actually wore them. A shoppable lookbook of the pieces that looked even better once we saw the scale, the color, and how they sit in real life.

THE OCTOBER EDIT — new arrivals, tried on and edited down.

Look 01 / Balenciaga

Okay, but which City would you actually use?

If you’ve been stuck on which City size to get, this is why I wanted to show them worn. The mini black one was already sold via preorder before this edit even went live — super cute for dinner, errands, or days when you barely want to carry anything. But if you want the one you’ll probably reach for more, I’d go for the light gray Metallic Edge: roomy enough for everyday, still easy to style, and the gray + gold hardware gives you a neutral that doesn’t feel like another black bag.

Look 02 / Vintage Canvas

The vintage bags you don’t have to baby.

If you want something recognizably designer but don’t want to spend the whole day worrying about scratching leather, this is where vintage canvas really wins. The Fendi Baguettes, Gucci Jackie, even the old Chanel Travel Line — they’re light, easy to throw on, already have a little character, and honestly look better with normal clothes than they do sitting perfectly on a shelf.

Look 03 / Prada

If your wardrobe is mostly neutral, this is how you get away with pink.

If you mostly wear black, white, denim, beige, you actually don’t need another neutral bag. A small colored bag is probably the easiest way to make the exact same outfits feel different without having to rethink your wardrobe. This Prada pink is bright enough to do the work, but small enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a whole pink outfit. And against washed denim? That’s basically the formula.

Look 04 / Loewe

Small Edge or Medium Classic?

If you want the Puzzle mostly for everyday essentials and you like it sitting neat on the body, I’d go Small Edge in Sand. The black one in the worn shot was already sold via preorder before this edit went live which makes sense, because black is probably the easiest “don’t think about it” option. But if you actually carry a lot, the Medium Classic in Tan makes way more sense: softer, roomier, and honestly better once it gets a little slouchy. So this really comes down to compact and polished vs. throw-everything-in-and-go.

The October Edit

That’s what made the cut.

We tried on a lot more than this. These were just the ones that gave us a reason to stop, compare, and actually think about how we’d use them in real life. Because sometimes the bag that looks good on the shelf isn’t the one you end up reaching for and sometimes you just need to see it on.
